5th December 2020 Hiking - Walking: Landguard circuit Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Mainly cloudy Max Speed: Distance Covered: Saturday 5th - walk **** - Landguard Nature Reserve Circuit– mainly cloudy. The spell of cold weather continues, we even had some snow here in Felixstowe yesterday with lots of rain too and no windsurfing for 11 days. I have broken my foil so am waiting for a replacement fuselage but haven’t missed much so far this month, waiting for it to warm up. So, we are enjoying the new kittens, going for short walks along the prom between the showers. Today we entertained the kitten by putting the Christmas tree up, they loved it and I will be surprised if the tree last to the 25th !!!! After dinner we decided to drive to The Manor to do our Landguard Nature Reserve walk to get away from the crowds along the prom! Walking over the small hills we were treated to brief glimpses of sun making the reserve looked wonderful:) Then onto the view point by the River Orwell to see one ship leave and another enter the docks. Then it was back along the beach to the van and home for a cuppa and cake as usual! Photo Gallery Here |
